Andreja Pavlović, Master of Arts in Journalism, PhD student in Communication, Head of the Department for Nature Protection and Landscape and Project Director. She has more than 25 years of experience in management consultancy, combining expertise in strategic communication and public affairs, sustainability and corporate social responsibility, environmental decision-making, and stakeholder dialogue and engagement. In-depth knowledge of the energy sector, i.e., issues and challenges related to infrastructure development and project implementation, public affairs and stakeholder engagement, environmental permitting, decarbonisation challenges, sustainability issue identification and reporting. At Oikon, she is responsible for setting up a centre of excellence for EU taxonomy and CSRD/ESRS requirements and SDGs. She led the team for the preparation and interpretation of data according to the E. ON Group ESG standard and EU taxonomy, as well as for the preparation of the sustainability reports for 2021 and 2022. For the second consecutive year, he leads the team for the preparation of sustainability reports for Zagrebačka pivovara in connection with the definition of a new framework for sustainability reporting based on the GRI standards in view of the new ESRS requirements and their upcoming application in practise. She also leads the team responsible for the analysis of the carbon footprint in Scope 1 and 2 for Croatia osiguranje. She was also the team leader for the preparation of the consolidated sustainability report for Zagrebački Holding Group. She closely follows the EU sustainability agenda and the new corporate sustainability reporting and sustainability management (ESG) obligations (NFRD/CSRD, ESRS, Taxonomy Regulation) as well as the UN Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals and Paris Agreement.
From 2018 to 2022, Andreja was the President of the Community for Socially Responsible Business at the Croatian Chamber of Commerce, where she launched a new platform for dialogue with stakeholders HGK_COR AKCELERATOR, a collaborative platform aimed at creating a better understanding of the Sustainable Development Goals and accelerating their implementation. She also initiated and designed the platform’s flagship project, the Let us Support Sustainably conference, and was program director for the 2019 and 2021 conferences (with Paul Polman and Jakob Trollbäck as keynote speakers). She wrote a technical paper on climate change reporting by Croatian companies, which was published in the scientific journal “Socijalna ekologija” in 2022. She has written several other technical papers dealing with 21st century sustainability and other challenges. She was a member of the working group of the Corporate Social Responsibility Index of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce and the Croatian Business Council for Sustainable Development, based on the British methodology Business in the CR Community Index (2007), a member of the UNDP working group responsible for the adaptation of the manual “Honourable to Victory” ( 2006), Vice-President of the Community for Socially Responsible Business in the Croatian Chamber of Commerce (2005 – 2008) and a member of the organizing committee of the first national conference on Socially Responsible Business: Agenda 2004 (2004). In February 2023, as a member of the Carbon Footprint team, she participated in the Carbon Footprint training in accordance with the requirements of the standard ISO 14064-1:2018 Specification with guidelines at the organisation level for quantifying and reporting on emissions and removal of greenhouse gases (certificate obtained from TUV NORD ADRIATIC d.o.o.).
She gave a presentation entitled “The Holy Grail of Sustainability Reporting: double materiality” and moderated a panel about ESRS cross-sectoral standards’ requirements at the 14th Conference on Sustainable Development, held in Zagreb on 4-5 October 2022 and organised by HR BCSD”. She was also a member of the working group of the OECD Fair Market Conditions for Competitiveness in Croatia project and participated as one of the speakers in the final presentation of the project results and next steps, which took place in Zagreb on 16 November 2022.
She also participated in the conference “Sustainability – how to successfully navigate the sea of regulations?” organised by HR BCSD and msg global solutions on 19 April 2023. There she presented the ESRS requirements related to in-depth sustainability due diligence and the proposal for the Directive on corporate sustainability due diligence.
